Terms And Conditions

Mexican Hammocks Pty Ltd (www.hammocksaustralia.com.au - Hammocks Australia) owns and operate this Website. This document governs your relationship with Mexican Hammocks Pty Ltd. Access to and use of this Website and the products and services available through this Website are subject to the following terms and conditions. By using this Website you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions.


Delivery Information

Free delivery is provided on all orders unless otherwise specified and is sent via various courier providers and AU Post. Orders received on Saturday, Sunday or public holidays will be dispatched the following business day. We reserve the right to restrict the free delivery rule for remote delivery location. 

Orders should usually arrive within time frames indicated below.  Please check your tracking detail email if you have not received it within a reasonable time frame. Please see the guidelines below or for more specific guidelines please view our delivery instructions page.

  • Sydney and surrounding suburbs; 1-2 working days (usually overnight)
  • Outer NSW; 2-4 working days
  • East Coast Metropolitan areas; 1-3 working days
  • Cairns, Townsville, Launceston, Hobart, Perth; 2-7 working days
  • Remote WA, NT, SA, QLD; 4-8 working days
  • Quotations of delivery times by Mexican Hammocks Pty Ltd are made in good faith but are estimates only and are not guarantees of delivery nor shall Mexican Hammocks Pty Ltd not be bound or liable by such quotation or delivery delays.

    On very rare occasions, such as for bulky/heavy items to very remote/rural locations, where delivery is financially prohibitive we reserve the right to withdraw free delivery and we will be in touch to discuss options if this is the case. 


    Secure Order and Payment

    Our shopping cart and website is secure and protected by SSL encryption. This is a method of ensuring information submitted through our website is secure and cannot be accessed by unauthorised users.

    Whenever purchasing on the Internet you need a safe and secure system to enter your credit card details through. That is why we use the world's leading online payment providers PayPal and eWay to process all credit card payments. When making payment there is no requirement to have an account with either company or an account on this Website.  



    All our Mexican hammocks, blankets, clothing and hammock stands are checked and inspected to ensure they are of the utmost quality. We are sure you'll love your purchase. However we want to ensure you are happy with your purchase, so if for any reason you are unhappy with your product, simply contact us and we will arrange a solution for you. We accept returns in 'as new' condition for a replacement or refund of your purchase price within the first 30 days.

    We provide a 6-month limited guarantee for manufacturing defects on our range of Mexican hammocks and a 1-year guarantee on our range of Colombian, organic cotton, travel hammocks and hammock stands.

    Defects that arise due to improper use or weather influence (sun, wind or rain) are not considered warranty cases. The guarantee does not cover normal wear or defects that occur due to misuse, overloading or cover ‘pulled’ cords.



    Should you just change your mind or not be happy with your hammock, it may be returned and exchanged for another. Keep the packaging, handle carefully and as long as you do this while it's nice, new and unused we can accept a return or exchange.

    Should you wish to return an item, please contact us in the first instance to discuss and obtain our return delivery address.

    You have 30 days to get in touch to return or exchange your product. Hammocks Australia offers free shipping on applicable orders, but only if you keep the item(s) you originally purchased. If you return an order for a refund we will keep the original shipping costs plus the transaction processing fee incurred (e.g. credit card 1.75%) as we are unable to recover these costs. 

    If there is a fault or you have received the incorrect product we will incur the return shipping cost and advise how best to return your purchase.

    Returns must be in an 'as new' unused condition. Be sure to keep the packaging and labels so these can also be returned if you decide to go down that route.

    Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and let you know the status of your refund. If your return is approved, you will be refunded through the same payment method of original purchase. 

    From May 10, 2021, for order cancellations the refund amount will be less the credit card processing fee of 1.75% which we are unable to recover.


    Order Cancellation

    Orders may be cancelled anytime before they have been dispatched. If a purchase has already been dispatched this must be returned to Mexican Hammocks Ltd prior to order cancellation and refund. As per above; refunds will be less 1.75% due to credit card processing fees that we are unable to recover.



    All transactions are billed in Australia dollars.


    Privacy Information

    At Hammocks Australia - Firstly, we do not share, sell or distribute in any way personal details about any of our customers with any third party.

    Apart from the details collected through the payment process (name, address, e-mail address), we also record all customer transactions such as items purchased. This enables us to be able to respond quickly to any queries you may have.

    From time to time we may wish to contact you to inform you of upcoming hammock sales or special offers. If you don’t wish to be contacted by us please just email us and we'll remove you from this list.


    Payment Security

    All our online payments are processed securely through Shopifywho are leaders in online payment and security. 


    SSL Encryption

    Hammocks Australia is a secure SSL site, meaning there is an encrypted link between our web server and your computer/mobile/tablet web browser. This ensures all data remains private and secure.
