This summer at Hammocks Australia, we are introducing a new size of thick cord hammock.
We have dubbed this the 'Essential' and renamed our original thick cord to the 'Deluxe'.
Our thick cord hammocks differ from our Queen & King size hammocks in that the cotton cord used within the hammock is approximately 4x thicker. The Queen & King are woven with a very fine cotton cord, which is extremely comfortable and supportive, but is just not as durable as the thicker cord, particularly when exposed to children, pets and heavier use.
All our hammocks still come from our original weavers, who we've been using for nearly 20 years, so continue to be made with expert skill and care, but there are is a slight difference between the two.
Mexican Thick Cord Essential: Made with the same soft, thick cotton cord as our Deluxe thick cord, but with less material overall and in a slightly more open weave. This makes the hammock more lightweight, stretchy and airy. It is still incredibly comfortable and supportive, but overall a little less so than the Deluxe thick cord. Current price $179.95.
Mexican Thick Cord Deluxe:Super soft, super supportive, the Deluxe thick cord hammock is tightly woven to create a feeling of weightlessness and total body support. The large quantity of cotton material and close diamond weave stretches and moulds to your body shape perfectly, allowing for the most restful and relaxing of hammock experiences. Current price $249.95.
The Mexican thick cord has been one of our most popular hammocks over the year, especially with families and accommodation providers and we are sure the 'Essential' option will be a great addition to our hammock lineup.
Both hammocks currently come with a free weather-resistant cover worth $34.95 to protect them from UV, rain and wind when not in use.
