Mexican Hammocks Pty Ltd is an Australian Company, based in Sydney. Owned and operated by two friends - Mike Rennie and Guy Halpin since early 2009.

We import and sell only top quality authentic handmade Mexican hammocks and products. Our range also includes hammock chairs, Mexican blankets, along with hammock stands and accessories.

Yucatán, México is the base for all our hammock weaving and done so by skilled indigenous Mayan weavers who pass their hammock weaving skills down through the generations. Work is done at home where working conditions are better than in factories and in a more environmentally friendly manner.

We believe in Fair Trade principles and employ many weavers in remote areas where work opportunities are not always readily available. We ensure we pay and reward our workers fairly for their skillful hammock weaving. This reflects in the resulting high quality hammocks they produce for us as our weavers are happy in their work.

We aim to offer our clients a unique online shopping experience through an easy to use and informative online store. We strive to continually improve the lives of the local native Mayan Mexican Community by providing sustainable employment and fair working conditions.
