Hammocks Australia
Hammocks Australia (Mexican Hammocks Pty Ltd) is an Australian Hammock Company, based in Sydney. Owned and operated by two friends with a love of Mexican hammocks - Mike Rennie and Guy Halpin since early 2009.
We have been importing and selling top quality and authentically handmade Mexican hammocks in Australia since March 2009 and are based in Frenchs Forest, Sydney.

Fair Trade
We believe in Fair Trade principles and Mexican hammocks stocks Cielo Hammocks the only hammock in the world from a Fair Trade Federation Member and B Corporation company.
They provide employment to over 900 families in remote areas where work opportunities are not always readily available and operate an award-winning non-profit organisation - Fundacion Cielo.
This ensures fair pay and reward for workers for their skilful hammock weaving and helps to contribute to social change and development within their communities. This reflects in the resulting high-quality hammocks they produce for us as each hammock is made with love and our weavers are happy in their work.

From the Hammock Capital of the World
Yucatán, México is the base for all our Mexican hammock weaving and is done so by skilled indigenous Mayan weavers who have been passing their hammock weaving skills down through the generations for over 1000 years.
Weavers generally work from home allowing for greater freedom and accessibility to work. Being hand-woven also provides a more environmentally friendly result. We have worked with our original supplier in Mérida, México, Cielo Hamacas since 2009.
Our range of authentic Mexican hammocks includes hammock chairs, spreader bar and traditional style Mexican hammocks.
La Siesta & Local Suppliers
We also source from local Australian supplier's hammock stands and hammock accessories, including hammock hanging hardware, hooks and rope.
Recent additions to our hammock range include La Siesta branded Colombian hammocks. La Siesta are German based with manufacturing taking place in Colombian. They have over 30 years' experience in producing quality hammocks and are well suited to the Australia environment.
